Consulting Herbalist

American Herbalist Guild

Enrollment in the Herbal Studies Certificate programs includes a one-year complimentary membership in the American Herbalists Guild (AHG), the organization at the forefront in developing standards and guidelines for the practice of herbalism in the United States.

Consulting Herbalist Certificate — Level 2

This program provides education for the student who works with herbs in a variety of settings. All courses in the Family Herbalist program are pre-requisites. It is a prerequisite for certificate level 3 offered by CCNH.

Program Objectives
  • Provide the student with an expanded knowledge of herbalism; pharmacognosy and plant chemistry; therapeutic and intermediate herbology; biology; anatomy and physiology; toxicology and pharmacology; and flower essences.
  • Enhance skills critical in the client/practitioner relationship.

  HRB 436 Toxicology & Pharmacology
  HRB 445 Flower Essences

After completing Herbal Studies Level 2, those seeking an advanced certificate(s) may elect to progress sequentially to Level 3 Certificate.
