American Herbalist Guild

Enrollment in the Herbal Studies Certificate programs includes a one-year complimentary membership in the American Herbalists Guild (AHG), the organization at the forefront in developing standards and guidelines for the practice of herbalism in the United States.

Master Herbalist Certificate — Level 3

This program, which offers advanced education for those who wish to become practicing herbalists, focuses on three well-defined aspects of herbalism. There is advanced work in phytotherapy and plant identification. A trio of courses covers various ethnic traditions. Finally a third group emphasizes practice and business skills. The last of these courses involves completing a practicum in which students conduct face-to-face assessment sessions and then submit documentation that reflects these sessions.

Requirement for admission: successful completion of the Family Herbalist and Consulting Herbalist programs.
