Master of Arts in Holistic Wellness

This program focuses on wellness at all levels — body, mind, and spirit. Anatomy and physiology, as well as holistic human development, are required. In addition, two nutrition courses examine the impact of diet on an individual’s health and demonstrate ways that proper nutrition can support healing. Students also learn about the positive health effects of various energy techniques, spirituality, and belief.

The Master of Arts program includes two electives and, instead of a thesis, ends with a project demonstrating mastery, in which students create a plan for holistic wellness that involves concepts from their courses as well as ideas drawn from independent research. Wellness is an area of study that is useful in many of the helping professions.
