In response to the need among healthcare professionals for further education about natural health, Clayton College of Natural Health offers the Natural Wellness Certificate program, which provides a broad view of holistic practices.
Students consider various concepts of health and a range of alternative modalities. In addition, courses address basic lifestyle issues; specific connections between the immune system and the mind; various body therapies and forms of exercise; and food constituents that have been linked to disease prevention. The final course examines the transformational journey required to move from the allopathic to holistic viewpoints.
Requirement for admission: evidence of licensure, certification, registration, or other professional credentials in a range of occupations including, but not limited to, registered nurses; nurse practitioners; midwives; physical therapists; psychologists; chiropractors; counselors; massage therapists; personal fitness instructors; and social workers.
Students who have a bachelor’s degree and successfully complete the Natural Wellness Certificate program may continue into the Doctor of Naturopathy for Healthcare Professionals program.
