CLAYTON COLLEGE PRESENTS—
Natural Health Conference 2003:

Building on Tradition

Nutrition experts Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D., and Linda Page, Ph.D., N.D., join Juliette de Bairacli Levy, a gypsy legend of herbal childcare and holistic pet care, for a learning vacation at Callaway Gardens, GA, May 15-18, 2003.

Building on Tradition, the annual educational conference of Clayton College of Natural Health, features 15 speakers and 30-plus presentations, networking with holistic health professionals, book-signings, and more. Keynote speaker is Ann Louise Gittleman, a CCNH alumna whose nutrition books include Beyond Pritikin, The Fat Flush Plan, Guess What Came to Dinner? and Before the Change.

Other CCNH alumni speakers include Linda Page, on topics concerning natural beauty and skin care, healthcare executive Carl Middleton, N.D., on interfacing with the medical community, and Susie Hale, N.D., on natural health consulting.

Keynote address: The Missing Link in Weight Loss. CCNH alumna Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D.’s best sellers include The Fat Flush Plan, Guess What Came to Dinner?, Beyond Pritikin, and Before the Change.
Learn at Lunch: Sea Vegetables for Natural Beauty and Skin Care is presented by CCNH advisory board member Linda Page, N.D., Ph.D. Her luncheon seminar includes natural gifts from the sea for each attendee.

Renowned herbalists Stephen Horne, Phyllis Light, Darryl Patton, Glinda Watts and Matthew Wood will discuss natural detoxification, flower essences, folk medicine making, and physical assessment. Patton’s popular weed walks include a half-day intensive on plant identification.

Wendy Arthur, M.D., will discuss integrative practice and, in separate sessions, Susan Kramer, Ph.D., and iridologist Ellen Tart Jensen discuss naturopathic assessment tools. Stress management expert Daniel Gagnon will outline natural methods of strengthening the immune system, and John Scalici demonstrates meditative relaxation via the Native American tradition of drumming circles.

It’s hard to imagine a more peaceful, yet invigorating, learning environment than Callaway Gardens, with amenities that include a butterfly sanctuary, herb trails and vegetable gardens.

Intensive learning opportunities!

At your request, some of our most popular sessions are now available as optional three-hour intensives. Come early and choose a three-hour intensive in Herbal Medicine Making or Pulse Assessment on Thursday, May 15. Our new Iridology or Plant Identification/Field Work intensive is available Saturday, May 18. All but Iridology are still available as shorter sessions, too.

A Conversation with gypsy herbal legend Juliette de Bairacli Levy, author of Nature’s Children and a pioneer in holistic animal care; facilitated by CCNH student Janice Dinsdale, includes video clips of Juliette of the Herbs, as seen on PBS.
