Debra Fulghum-Bruce, Ph.D., is an Atlanta-based medical writer, expert in health communications and former Editor-in-Chief of Living Well Today, a regional health/fitness publication. Debra is a graduate of Clayton College and was recently honored as the Outstanding Alumnus of the Year by the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida for her medical writing contributions.
Daniel Gagnon , Master Herbalist, is the President of Herbs, Etc. He is Executive Director of the Botanical Research and Education Institute and the former Chairman of the American Herbal Products Association. He has been a practicing herbalist for more than 25 years and travels and teaches throughout the U.S. Daniel is the author of Liquid Drops in Everyday Use.
Ann Louise Gittleman , Ph.D., is CCNH’s Adjunct Professor of Holistic Nutrition. She is a renowned nutrition specialist and author of best selling books, The Fat Flush Plan, Before the Change and Guess What Came to Dinner.
Susie Hale, N.D., L.M.T., L.P.C., is Director of Student and Graduate Affairs at CCNH. Susie shares her practitioner experience by developing CCNH curricula that address legal practice issues, communication skills and the art of the intake assessment.
Steven Horne , AHG, is a professional herbalist and wellness consultant, President of the Tree of Light Institute and a board member of the International Iridology Practitioners Association. He maintains a practice in St. George, Utah. He is also a well known author, teacher and publisher of the e-zine Nature’s Field.
Ellen Tart Jensen, Ph.D., was a student of Bernard Jensen. Ellen has studied and practiced in the fields of nutrition, natural healing and iridology for more than 25 years. She is President of the International Iridology Practitioners Association and maintains a practice in Escondido, California.
Susan Kramer, Ph.D., J.D., AHG, earned her J.D. in 1986 and practiced law for 10 years. A lifelong interest in health led her to the East West School of Herbology. She maintains a practice in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the author of The Healthy Traveler.
Phyllis D. Light, B.S., R.H., L.M.T., C.N.C., AHG, is Director of Herbal Studies at CCNH. She is an herbalist, a nutrition and wellness consultant and a Reiki Master with more than 20 years of experience. Phyllis travels and teaches throughout the country, specializing in traditional Appalachian herbal remedies. She maintains a practice in Huntsville, Alabama.
Rodger Murphree, D.C., has been in private practice for more than 12 years. He is the founder and past clinical director of Advanced Family Medicine, a clinic specializing in traditional and natural medicine. Rodger is also a board-certified nutritional specialist, author, speaker and health consultant. He is the author of Treating and Beating Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Darryl Patton , B.S., has been an herbalist for more than 20 years and is adjunct faculty at CCNH. He is the author of Tommie Bass, Herb Doctor of Shinbone Ridge; America’s Goat Man; and Mountain Medicine: The Herbal Remedies of Tommie Bass. Darryl publishes two e-zines, Stalking the Wild and The Southern Herbalist, and maintains a practice in Gadsden, Alabama.
Linda Page , N.D., Ph.D., is a nationally known herbalist and nutrition specialist, author and media personality. Linda is a CCNH alumna who also serves as Clayton College Adjunct Professor of Natural Health. She holds a number of herbal patents and has co-founded a number of holistic health businesses. Linda is the author of Healthy Healing, The Healing Diet, The Healing Recipes, How to Be Your Own Herbal Pharmacist and Detoxification.
Cherie Sohnen-Moe has been a speaker, author and consultant for more than 25 years. She holds a degree in psychology from UCLA and has extensive experience in the areas of business management, creative problem solving and the healing arts. Cherie has written more than 100 articles and has been published in more than 15 national and international magazines. She is the author of Business Mastery and the co-author of The Ethics of Touch.
Matthew Wood, AHG, is an internationally renowned and popular herbalist and homeopath with more than 20 years of experience. He is the author of Seven Herbs: Plants as Teachers, Vitalism and The Book of Herbal Wisdom. Matthew maintains a practice at Sunnyfield Herb Farm in Minnesota.
