Keynote Speakers

Many of our students have studied the work of our keynote speakers whose books are part of the CCNH curriculum.

Rudolph Ballentine, M.D., one of the original pioneers of integrative medicine, has been in practice for more than 25 years. His unique contribution to holistic philosophies is a common sense, down to earth approach that includes the spiritual foundations that underlie these therapies. Past president of the Himalayan Institute, Dr. Ballentine has directed training programs for holistic physicians. He currently maintains a private practice and lectures to groups throughout the world. Dr. Ballentine is the author of Diet & Nutrition, Transition to Vegetarianism and Theory & Practice of Meditation.

Elson Haas, M.D., has been in medical practice for more than 25 years and was instrumental in the development of integrative medicine. He is founder and director of the Preventive Medical Center of Marin, an integrative health care facility in San Rafael, CA. Dr. Haas specializes in family and nutritional medicine, detoxification and individualized health programs. He also lectures to groups throughout the world and is the author of several books, including Staying Healthy with the Seasons, The False Fat Diet and Staying Healthy with Nutrition.
