DANIEL GAGNON —
NATURAL SKIN CARE

This class will cover nutritional and herbal aids for skin problems such as eczema, contact dermatitis, allergic reactions, hives, psoriasis and sun-damaged skin. Includes a discussion of the role essential fatty acids, diet and herbs have in maintaining healthy skin. The importance of maintaining a healthy liver for good skin health is also covered.


DARRYL PATTON —
HERBAL MEDICINE MAKING

This class will cover different ways of creating herbal remedies. It includes drying and storing fresh herbs, making teas and decoctions, and making herbal tinctures. This is a hands-on class.


Michael Tierra —
Mastering TCM Pulse and Tongue Assessment

This hands-on class is an introduction to Pulse Assessment as practiced in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The class will cover the basic philosophy and theory of TCM pulse assessment including shape, force, depth, length, and pace of the pulse.


ELLEN TART JENSEN —
IRIDOLOGY BASICS

This class will cover the basics of iridology theory and how to use the iris as a map of the body. The class includes a discussion of the markings and colorings of the eye as a means of assessing physical and emotional health.


PHYLLIS D. LIGHT —
HERB/DRUG CONTRAINDICATIONS AND INTERACTIONS

This class covers the herb/drug/ supplement interactions and contraindications of some of the most popular herbs and supplements. It also covers precautions in herb and supplement use prior to surgery, herbs/supplements that have an additive effect to certain prescription medications and those that might interfere with the action of medications.


RODGER MURPHREE —
FIBROMYALGIA AND CHRONIC FATIGUE

This class covers diet, supplements and herbs that aid in the improvement of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Sleep disturbance, irritable bowel or bladder, numbness and tingling in the extremities, brain fog, allergies and other signs of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue will be covered.


LINDA PAGE —
FOR WOMEN ONLY: LIVING LONGER, LIVING BETTER

This is a three-part presentation on women’s health. Part I, “When Medical Advice Isn’t Enough,” tackles thyroid imbalances, fibroids, endometriosis and rosacea. Part II, “Anti-Aging Therapies,” covers natural solutions for bone loss, arthritis, heart disease and menopausal weight gain. Part III, “Whole Herb and Food Remedies for Looking and Feeling Your Best,” covers natural, head-to-toe beauty remedies.
