Natural Health Conference 2008 —
Natural Health: Many Paths, One Destination

Lodging, Meals, & Transportation

New and different for the 2008 natural health conference, CCNH has worked with Emerald Pointe Resort and Conference Center to develop a program that makes planning your learning vacation quick and easy.

In addition to the conference registration fee, conference attendees will pay a complete meeting package (CMP) fee, which covers your room, all meals, and breaks from Wednesday evening dinner to Sunday afternoon lunch, and the daily $12 resort fee for usage of Emerald Pointe’s outstanding amenities. This CMP rate is shared with CCNH — we pay a portion of the rate and you pay a portion.

We believe that the CMP arrangement will allow you to let go of the details so you can focus on enjoying yourself, rather than having to make decisions about lodging, meals and the various details associated with attending a conference. You will simply pay one bill for meals and room expenses when you check out of the Emerald Pointe Hotel and Conference Center. If you decide to commute on a daily basis rather than stay at the resort, you will receive an invoice of $55 per day to cover the cost of meals. The invoice will be issued from CCNH prior to the conference and will be due before the conference begins.

The daily CMP rate of $189 per person, per day for single occupancy and $124.50 per person, per day for double occupancy includes your hotel room, all meals, and the resort fee.

Guest accommodations include luxury guest rooms that overlook gorgeous natural scenery from a private balcony or terrace as well as high-speed Internet access, cable television and coffee service. Unlimited access to Emerald Pointe’s fitness center, jogging trails, lighted tennis courts, and beautiful heated swimming pool are also included.

The CMP arrangement will cover all of your meals beginning with Thursday evening and continuing through Sunday if you plan to begin the conference with us by attending our Thursday night opening ceremonies and dinner at 6:00pm. If you plan to attend the conference intensives which begin on Wednesday evening, your hotel room and meals will also be covered by the CMP arrangement.

The CMP has allowed us to make lunches and dinners a part of the conference’s scheduled events, creating more opportunities for networking with the entire conference group including fellow attendees, staff, and presenters. Breakfast is available at your leisure exclusively in Emerald Pointe's Windows restaurant. Enjoy some personal time in the morning, or meet newfound friends for a quick breakfast to start your day.

Another food highlight for the 2008 conference is that Emerald Pointe’s culinary staff has experience preparing foods for Deepak Chopra’s events, and they have a true understanding of fresh, healthful foods. CCNH is working closely with the chefs, borrowing from Chopra’s menus and contributing our own ideas, to ensure that the meals are healthy, balanced, and expertly prepared. Additional Information

While the CMP covers everything you could possibly need to enjoy your conference experience, there are a few things that are not included in your CMP. Examples of extras that are not covered include:

  • Room service and meals not mentioned above;
  • Purchases made in the gift shop and the on-site Starbucks coffee shop;
  • Services at the Tranquility Spa; and
  • Activities such as water sports, boating, and horse back riding.

Non-registered conference attendees such as partners, family members, or friends are responsible for their expenses. Meal tickets can be purchased for lunch at $22 each and for dinner at $33 each and may be purchased through the online registration page or on-site during the conference. Hotel accommodations will also be billed at a different rate. Therefore, communication with the hotel reservations office will be necessary for these arrangements.

Camping is available for those who prefer being closer to nature. Campers pay a daily campsite fee and must participate in a CMP rate of $55.00 per day, Wednesday through Sunday. View current campground rates. Participants who drive in each day must also participate in the daily CMP rate.

Transportation

Also new for the 2008 conference is shuttle service from the airport to Emerald Pointe Resort & Conference Center. Once you have booked your flight, all you will need to do is submit your itinerary to C2 Eventz, Atlanta’s premiere transportation, travel, and production company. They will meet you at the airport baggage claim area with a sign bearing your name. You'll be escorted to a comfortable shuttle bus, and refreshments will be available on the ride to the conference center. Expect about a 45 minute ride from the airport to Lake Lanier Islands. The cost is $45 one way.
