View a short excerpt from Joan Callam at CCNH's 2004 Natural Health Conference.

Top Left: Susie Hale, N.D. led a session entitled “Assessment Language.” It’s a subject near and dear to her heart; as a Clayton College graduate, Hale serves her alma mater as Director of Student and Graduate Affairs. Her Natural Reader Note: “The tone of educational language is always informative and empowering, seeking to increase a client’s knowledge regarding health, nutritional products, the nutritional value of a substance, and/or how the body works. It empowers the client to make decisions and take greater responsibility for daily lifestyle choices.”

Center: CCNH alumna Ann Louise Gittleman was part of a lively, interactive panel discussion in which students and speakers shared some of their best successes in helping clients to choose the best nutritional plan to suit their individual needs. As featured in Time magazine May 3, 2004, Gittleman’s Natural Reader Note: “One universal ‘liver-loving’ way to help clean up cellulite includes drinking eight glasses of cranberry water a day, plus a glass of hot water with fresh lemon juice to aid fat metabolism.”

Right: CCNH alumna Linda Page, N.D., Ph.D. is an herbal cooking expert who loves our learning vacations! During the conference, Page and a holistic chef cooked up a learning lunch with fresh fruit and spring vegetables. This fall, Page will be one of our instructors in Sedona, AZ! From her new Heal with Every Meal Cookbook, Page’s Natural Reader Note is: “Citrus fruits possess 58 known anti-cancer compounds, more than any other food! Some researchers call citrus fruits a total anticancer package because they have every class of nutrient - arytenoids, flavonoids, terrenes, limuloids and coumarone - known to neutralize chemical carcinogens.”
