fungus. Direct, full strength application at site of infection. Recent
study compared efficacy of tea tree oil to topical application of clotrimazole.
Results were same. Just as effective with no side effects. Key Uses:
nail fungus, foot problems, vaginal infections. CAUTION: Do not
take internally.
THYME
(Thymus vulgaris)

Antiseptic. General tonic. Antiseptic against tooth decay and gum disease.
Useful against fungal infections and skin parasites. Removes gas. Used
for respiratory and digestive infections. Used externally for infected
wounds. Used as a gargle for sore throats, laryngitis and tonsillitis.
Used for sinus infections, bronchitis, asthma. Removes mucus from sinus
passages. Key Uses: sinus infections, respiratory infections,
digestive disturbances, gas, throat problems. Note: Fenugreek and Thyme
are excellent to move mucus in nasal passages due to sinus infections
and allergies.
TURMERIC (
Curcuma longa )
Anti-inflammatory. Anti-oxidant. Useful for arthritis. Blood thinner. Used for digestion, intestinal gas, flatulence. Inflammatory bowel disease. Anti-septic and anti-infective. Helps protect liver. Chemopreventative. Useful for detoxification. Kidney stones. Kills parasites and yeast. Anti-bacterial. Traditionally used for chronic infections. Used as spice and in cooking. Coloring agent and flavoring agent in mustard, pickles and relishes. Used in Indian curry. Key Uses: anti-inflammatory, flatulence, chemopreventative.
UVA URSI (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi)
Strengthens and tones urinary tract. Used for bladder and kidney infections.
Urinary antiseptic properties. Urinary anesthetic. Urinary antibiotic.
Crude extract possess some anti-cancer activity. Useful against bladder
infections, Bright's Disease, cystitis, diabetes, kidney infections,
nephritis. Key Uses: urinary tract infections, mild diuretic.
NOTE: May turn urine brown or yellowish-brown. This is harmless. Note:
Works best in an alkaline environment. For cystitis, use with apple
juice.
VALERIAN (Valeriana officinalis)
Studies show sedative, anti-convulsive, hypotensive, tranquilizing,
neurotropic, and anti-aggressive properties. Used to suppress and regulate
autonomic nervous system. Useful in psychosomatic diseases that involve
dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system. Used to treat childhood
hyperactivity. No side effects. Also used as a sleep aid. Used to lower
blood pressure. Improves coordination. Antagonizes hypnotic effects
of alcohol. Relieves general symptoms of stress. Key Uses: nervousness,
insomnia, stress and anxiety, pain. Useful for sleep disorders, Mitral
Valve Prolapse, Fibromyalgia, and as a pain reliever.

WILLOW (Salix alba)
Bark of tree used as painkiller. Considered analgesic. Alterative. Reduces fever. Astringent. Nervine. Sedative. Easy on stomach. Antiseptic. Contains salicin. Useful for pain associated with inflammation such as arthritis, rheumatism, fibromyalgia, and repetitive strain injuries. Key Uses: Pain. Inflammation. Fever.
WILD
YAM ROOT (Dioscorea villosa)
Promotes glandular balance. Used to treat dysmenorrhea, ovarian neuralgia,
cramps, after pains, pre-menstrual syndrome, after pains. Contains hormonal
precursors for progesterone and other cortical steroids. Anti-spasmodic,
anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic. Relieves intestinal colic. Soothes
diverticulitis. Useful in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Key
Uses: arthritis, gas, women's problems, menopause, hormonal balance,
pain due to arthritis, lupus and other autoimmune diseases.
WORMWOOD (Artemisia absinthium)
