Aromatic Bath Salt

An aromatic bath before bedtime is a wonderful way to begin the relaxation process to prepare for a good night’s sleep. These baths can help relieve muscle aches, anxiety, and insomnia. Aromatic bath salts also have the benefit of softening the bath water, softening the skin, and relaxing muscles. Neroli essential oil helps relieve muscle pain and anxiety. Marjoram essential oil is a strong sedative that helps relieve muscle spasms and, like Roman chamomile, also relieves depression. Lavender essential oil also helps with muscle pain as well as nervousness and headaches.

1 cup borax
1/2 cup sea salt
1/2 baking soda
50 drops essential oil

For a relaxation blend, combine neroli, marjoram, Roman chamomile, and lavender essential oils. Mix dry ingredients and add essential oils. Mix well. Use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of bath salts per bath.
