Healthy Recipes

Fall is my favorite time of year. The temperature is getting cooler. The days are getting shorter. And apples are in season!

Crisp apples make a perfect snack! They are a great source of fiber, are fat free and sodium free, and can make a great addition to a salad. Apples can be used in a refreshing drink, and even compliment many to savory foods.

CCNH promotes buying and consuming locally grown, organic produce and locally raised, free range, organic meats and produce whenever possible. To learn more about food production, visit the Shopper’s Guide to Holistic Eating. Visit Shopping at your local farmer’s market to learn more about purchasing local produce.

The Holistic Kitchen takes full advantage of the annual growing calendar. We’ll always strive to offer recipes that feature the fruits and vegetables available in a given season. To find other great recipes, check out the Previous Healthy Recipes.
