Athlete's Foot Remedies
Athlete’s foot is a fungus infection of the outer “dead” layer of the skin. Prevention is the best way to manage athlete’s foot. Careful attention to hygiene and ventilation of the feet are both very important. When wearing shoes, wearing cotton socks will help absorb the moisture. Here are a couple of remedies that have been used on athlete’s foot.
- A daily 30-minute soak in a basin of very hot water to which 1/2 cup of sea salt has been added helps to improve athlete’s foot.
- Using plenty of apple cider vinegar all over the feet may be helpful. One way to do this is to soak cotton balls in the vinegar, place them between the toes, put on socks and leave them on overnight.
Eliminate Foot Odor
- Sprinkling a little baking soda in the shoes may help to eliminate odor. Also, soaking your feet in baking soda and water may eliminate strong odor and is restful for tired feet as well.
