The New Green House

A big topic in the world today is renewable energy. In a consumer based society, we are trying to change our focus back to the earth. The habits from the past and present have been consequential for the present and future. We are looking towards tomorrow — for what seems like the first time in a very long time, as if through green colored glasses.

Renewable energy sources are energies that are replenished; they are from resources that are regenerative or can not be depleted. The five main renewable energy sources that we most often hear about are solar, hydropower (water), wind, geothermal and biomass. We want it all —we want heat when we are cold, cool air when we are hot, and now we want and need the earth to benefit as well.

If we can provide energy for ourselves and begin to heal our beloved Earth — everybody wins. Let’s begin the Green House by exploring our renewable energy options. For the next several months, we will take a look at one of the five renewable energy sources.

Here is to greener living, small changes, and a better tomorrow:
