Gloria Gilbere, Doctor of Naturopathy, Ph.D in Natural Health
“Giving is Receiving”
Gloria Gilbere knows a lot about rejuvenation. She has faced so many dangers and overcome so many health obstacles that her greatest thrill in life is to empower others to reclaim their own natural birthright: wellness and balance. Gloria views the gift of rejuvenation as a daily inbound adventure to in–joy to the fullest.
She has lived through the bewildering pain of serious injuries and a near-fatal accident — changing professions several times in the process, from dentistry to ergonomics and then discovering her true passion in natural health. Illness was the bridge that breathed life into her intensive study of natural health, homeopathy and eco–ergonomics. She has known the miracles of modern medicine and, thankfully, also lived to tell about surviving some particularly nightmarish repercussions.
Is it her soul–level transformation that makes Gloria Gilbere such a compelling health journalist, motivational speaker, author, researcher and practitioner of traditional naturopathy? Featured internationally alongside the likes of holistic physician Bernie Siegel, M.D. and folk herbalist Susun Weed on www.healthylife.net, Gloria’s monthly Internet radio talk show, “Your Health Matters,” explores, with humor, her internal mindset for a holistic lifestyle — peacefully coexisting with the messy ironies of our external environment.
One of her recently archived topics, “The road to health is paved with good intestines,” exposes the gut–wrenching reality of living with MARS, Gloria’s acronym for Multiple Allergic Response Syndrome.
Her seven–volume book series began with I was Poisoned by my body… I have the gut feeling that you could be, too! This 2001 best seller is now in its fifth printing, a Spanish translation. Her next book, Invisible Illnesses, peeled back the perplexities of self–healing from various prescription drug–induced autoimmune diseases and inflammatory disorders. In Nature’s Prescription Milk, Gloria helps readers discover the gentle sustenance of nanny goats and their kids.
First in Gloria’s recent foray into single–topic workbooks and e–books, Pain/Inflammation Matters is a discussion of nutritional biochemistry, detoxification, environmental health and lifestyle modifications. Practical and informative, each book in this portable “recipes for life” format showcases Gloria’s culinary prowess and her fun–loving flair for creating gourmet alternatives to satisfactorily replace forbidden foods.
Gloria Gilbere serves on the board of directors for the Fibromyalgia Coalition International and is a member of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. She has written more than 400 articles on natural health topics.
Coming up, her second–annual Fall Foliage Cruise takes natural health education on a bon voyage, Sept. 23–30, 2006. During the eight days and seven nights of this breathtaking educational adventure, through New England to Nova Scotia, Gloria will address all the faces of rejuvenation — from internal and environmental detoxification, to pain management, how to age with grace and energy, with exciting nutritional options and unlimited opportunities for gentle–to–invigorating daily activities. Cruisers should book reservations now for best pricing and best availability.
