Rosella Palazzolo
B.S. in Holistic Nutrition student
Perhaps you’ve wondered … Just how does a new student begin his or her Clayton College admissions process? The following excerpt comes from an enrollment essay submitted by Rosella Palazzolo of Michigan. Ms. Palazzolo is an undergraduate student of holistic nutrition.
Your Body Is Your Temple
“In the check–out line at our local grocery store, a young mother pacified her child with neon–colored candy while unloading the following: white bread, cola, chips, cheese dip, several boxes of sugary cereal, wieners, cupcakes, marshmallows, frozen fish sticks and fourteen boxes of microwavable mac & cheese. There was nothing real in the entire shopping cart: no fruit, no vegetables; only fatty, sugary, cholesterol–laden JUNK. Welcome to the unconscious, unhealthy eating habits of too many American families.
“All my life I’ve recognized food as healthy nourishment, and I want to empower people to take an active role in creating their own well–being. I want my own infectious passion for life to inoculate others. I want to teach people that they owe it to themselves, and to their children, to maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
