Green Thumb Now, Green Career Later
“I am a massage therapist whose joy is to volunteer as an educator at our local botanical gardens. Elementary–aged children come for tours that include plant identification and the cultural history of native herbs and their uses. With older children I can share more complex concepts such as plant cultivation and the interrelationship of plants with all facets of life. As many of these visitors come from urban schools where they rarely see anything more than concrete, little compares to watching as they make their first connection with plants…”
