Christie Shaver, Candidate for Companion Animal Studies Certificate

Perhaps you’ve wondered… Just how does a new student begin his or her Clayton College admissions process? Here are excerpts from the enrollment essay submitted by Christie Shaver of New York.

Lessons Learned: from My Closest Animal Friends

“Over the years, since my first pre-teen experiments with life-saving holistic nutrition for several family pets, I have studied animal nutrition in an exhaustive manner. There was a time when I believed the BARF (Bones and Raw Foods) diet was the way to go, until I learned more.”

“…I am confident that my purpose in life is to improve the lives of animals and to educate pet owners to make empowered decisions. CCNH’s coursework in Companion Animal Studies is the only program of its kind that I am aware of. This is truly an exciting time to be part of the solution for better natural health for our pets.”
