A Rewarding Education

The health sciences are frequently considered to be the noblest and most rewarding of all professions. Natural health practitioners, holistic nutrition consultants, and herbalists have the opportunity to make a positive difference in their own and in others' health on a daily basis.

Many CCNH students aspire to become practitioners, or they are currently healthcare professionals seeking to expand an existing practice by incorporating natural and alternative therapies. Others enroll as they seek to use natural approaches in managing their own health and that of their families. Regardless of the desired outcome of your educational journey, we are confident that CCNH will help you meet your goal of learning how to be healthy and to teach others how to be healthy too.

How Will You Contribute to the Profession?

Recent government studies have shown that Americans are spending almost one third as much money out of pocket on herbal supplements and other alternative medicines as they do on prescription drugs. Money spent on visits to the chiropractor, massage therapists, meditation classes and other complementary and alternative therapies was estimated to be $34 billion dollars in 2007. Some of the biggest expenses were on non-vitamin and non-mineral supplements, followed by practitioner visits, and finally on classes like meditation, stretching, and other wellness practices (Boyle, 2009).

CCNH graduates are a part of this economy. They are practitioners, educators, writers, and speakers. They are holistic chefs and vegetarian cooks, health food store managers, and retail product sales people. They work with children, adults, and animals. Some have even created their own products, supplements, and foods — for people and companion animals. What you do is limited only by your imagination and determination, and although CCNH cannot guarantee your employment as a natural health professional, we absolutely guarantee that you will earn the highest quality natural health education available to support you in your personal and professional endeavors.
