Lynn Anderson, Ph.D., N.D. 1999, is the author of a new book, Karma, because life becomes what life does, about the branch of yoga devoted to everyday life. Susan Frey, N.D. 1997, will be speaking at Harvard University this spring. Harvard’s “Learning and The Brain” conference involves two presentations each year, and she is scheduled to speak there on April 27, 2003. She also reports that Antioch Graduate School in New Hampshire is now using her book, Cultivating Spirituality in the Classroom. There, she is collaborating with the chair of Antioch’s School of Education. Susan reports she is feeling very validated because her “non-traditional” education has not at all limited her ability to lead and really make a difference within two very traditional college systems. images of student graduate Web sitesDiane Gioia-Bargonetti, N.D. 2001, was recently accepted into the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Diane authors a Lifestyle Column for Allegro—the newspaper for the American Federation of Musicians. As a former musician and producer Diane helps musicians deal with addictions and other health issues through the column as well as hand-on workshops. Allegro has an impressive readership of 250,000. Diane also initiated a program for the firefighters of NYC. Diane writes, “I thought it was propitious that I got my degree a couple of weeks before 9/11. The tragedy motivated me to start my Liquid Chlorophyll Program for the ground-zero cough and other health-related problems encountered by these brave firefighters.” Diane works between two firehouses, and with approximately 200 firefighters. She is currently looking for a grant to expand and continue her work because of its success rate.
