Joan Abernathy, a M.S. and Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition student, organized the first state-level CCNH student gathering in Georgia this summer. A total of 12 students gathered for food and friendly conversation. They discussed their programs and overlapping courses, honing in on what they particularly enjoyed in certain courses. One enthusiastic attendee said she was, "eager to get into her courses NOW so that she will be able to contribute MORE to the next group event." All who attended agreed that the gathering of like-minded individuals gave them the support they needed in a distance education environment. Congratulations to Joan for organizing the group! We hope to see it grow. If you are interested in organizing a similar group in your state, please contact the Webmaster for more information.
