Introduction
It's hard to believe autumn is upon us again—must be that old adage about time flying when we're having fun! The summer sun is waning, leaves have already begun to flutter to the ground, and the sound of early summer showers has given way to the late-summer incessant hum of crickets and cicadas.
Summer here at CCNH was definitely fun! Our annual indulgent learning event, Health Day, just wrapped; Judy Williams and her traveling team, including Linda Powell and Anita Barnett from academics and Lisa Blackmon and Marc Blumenthal from admissions, have returned from the AHNA and NNFA conferences, and from the ANMA convention where we hosted a student and graduate reception; and our third annual student-organized weekend retreat once again proved to be a much-needed final summer getaway for those who made the trip.
In addition to the summer's activities, CCNH staff and faculty are already buzzing about, making preparations for the 2004 Natural Health Conference (details inside!). One would think we would be ready to hibernate for the coming late autumn and winter months, but such is not the case! Stay tuned to your weekly e-mail broadcasts for exciting news and updates in the coming months.
We've also been enjoying the big red ball in the eastern night sky—the planet Mars that is! It is amazing and wonderful to see astronomical history unfold in our lifetimes.
Happy Autumnal Equinox! Celebrate the fall, and her cool nights, bright stars, and harvest moon.
