Graduates
Sharon Hagemann — an N.D. graduate, D.O., C.H., and her partner Jay Kaufman, M.T., D.N., N.D., D.C., operate a highly successful naturopathic and chiropractic practice in Greeley, PA. With a combined total of 50 years of practical experience, they desire to assist new practitioners by teaching them to develop a successful business from day one. This desire led to the development of a comprehensive manual, Starting Your Practice On a Shoestring When You Don’t Have One, a no-nonsense, condensed, manuscript filled with ideas such as: finding an office and equipment; free advertising that works; attracting new clients; and more. For more information, contact Sharon at: The Catskill School of Natural Therapies, P.O. Box #202, Barryville, NY, 12719-0202, or via e-mail at catskillschool2002@yahoo.com.
Claude Thomas Hall — an M.S. in Natural Health and N.D. graduate, spent two years working as an anti-aging consultant for a D.O. and M.D. at their private weight loss clinic in Midland, TX. As a result of his work, Tom learned a great deal about modern bariatric medicine. The doctors employed appetite suppressants and restrictive diets, including nothing by mouth after 2:00pm. Naturally, their patients lost weight, but many exhibited severe side effects from the amphetamines and other appetite suppressants. Tom took his experiences and has been able to achieve equal weight loss by teaching his clients how to eat a healthy diet, consisting of predominantly vegetarian foods. He has seen 400 pound women lose as much as 120 pounds in one year just by following a sensible diet and getting some exercise every day.
