GRADUATES

SHIRLEY BRYDIE, RN, PHD in Natural Health graduate. Shirley was a presenter at Competence and Innovation: Intersection in Professional Nursing Education, a joint program by Villanova University College of Nursing, The State University of New Jersey, Rutgers College of Nursing, and University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Since graduating, Shirley has also earned certification in Holistic Stress Management, and has been sharing her energy and wisdom with various universities, churches, senior citizen organizations, and her sorority, Chi Eta Phi. Shirley was selected to deliver the keynote address for Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nurses. Shirley spoke on spirituality and nursing. Her spiritual journey has also afforded Shirley the opportunity to travel both nationally and internationally. Her travel experiences have resulted in several published articles.

DR. DIANE GIOIA-BARGONETTI, MS in Natural Health and ND graduate. Diane is now the Resident Naturopath at the A.R.E. NYC Center, 241 West 30th Street, New York. The A.R.E is the Association for Research and Enlightenment, better known as the Edgar Cayce Holistic Healing Center. For appointments, call 212-691-7690. Diane is also a contributing writer for A.R.E.’s Venture Inward Magazine—her most recent article, Coping with Death (July/August 2004 edition), chronicles her journey through her brother’s sudden and tragic passing, stressing her use of natural therapies during this time. She also has a newspaper column in NYC, and she is the author of a cellulite booklet with international distribution. Diane, or “Dr. Di,” is also an Emmy-Nominated Television Producer, and she composes, plays and produces healing music. A melanoma cancer-survivor, “Dr. Di” feels she obtained her alternative health education and degrees at a crucial time in history as she began utilizing her alternative therapy expertise with the FDNY shortly after the September 11, 2001 tragedy.

MELONIE MONTGOMERY-AHLGREN, MS in Holistic Nutrition graduate. Melonie is the developer of a cellular analyzer called Fenestra. In Latin, Fenestra means “window into.” Fenestra is designed to help the practitioner uncover imbalances for the client. Melonie writes, “this project has been a long path for me, and my education with CCNH has helped me accomplish this.” For more information, please visit: www.meloniemontgomery.com.

WYCLIFFE TYSON, Doctor of Naturopathy Graduate. Wycliffe has published a book of his poetry, Using Poetry As a Therapy for Positive Living. The poems are based on his life and Christian experiences. Wycliffe believes the book will appeal to anyone because it holds “wordpower,” the power to refresh, uplift, inspire, and heal.
