From the Office of Student and Graduate Affairs

As CCNH approaches its 25th anniversary, this is a welcome time to reflect on where the college has been, and where we may be going. As a graduate from the 80s, I can confirm that students have found their way to Clayton College for many reasons over the years.

In its early years, most students were drawn to CCNH’s educational programs because of personal health challenges or a desire to improve their own health. The small subculture of natural and health food enthusiasts also found their way to Clayton. While these students still enroll in our programs, there has been a shift in the general student profile.

As alternative healing began to gain media attention, the college began receiving more inquiries from the general public. This included healthcare professionals who were finding that the people they served were expecting them to be experts in all forms of natural products and healing approaches.

These professionals turned to Clayton College and discovered they could integrate their newfound knowledge into their practices. As a result, we have seen a swing in the demographics of our student body as more students come to us with traditional college experience or degrees. CCNH has the unique educational program to meet their needs.

We can proudly say that our students come from a healthy balance of backgrounds, ranging from isolated, off-the-grid naturalists to emergency room physicians. It is exciting and inspirational to experience such an array of gifted, curious and committed people who join us to share our mission: Teaching others to be healthy. Let’s change the world, one person at a time, by educating each person that we meet about some aspect of natural health. Together we can change the world!
