Who and What’s New in Academics
Things are changing in Clayton College’s academic department. We’ve been very busy preparing for the implementation of WebCT©, the world’s leading e-learning management system. Just in time for spring of our 25th year, WebCT© and CCNH are joining forces to offer our students state of the art online testing capability and the Holistic Connection.
The Holistic Connection provides students and graduates a special area in WebCT© designed specifically to help you stay connected. The Holistic Connection is home to an interactive bulletin board service, real-time chats, and a calendar that you can personalize with your plans, posted right alongside ours.
We are adding a second weekly chat time this year called Friday’s Chit Chat. It’s intended to be an informal gathering with a faculty member hosting the chat, but there is no agenda other than to give you, the student or graduate, the opportunity to visit with us.
If you are currently using Assess2Learn as your online testing program, there will be a transition time for you to finish your tests in A2L. You will be noti- fied of the details and provided instructions for your next step in moving to WebCT©.
We have added a new staff member to the academics team. Ann Harper, a graduate of Samford University, transferred from administration to the faculty assistant position and Courtney Grammer, the former faculty assistant, is now an IT Assistant. Courtney will be working closely with Tara Brown, webmaster and editor of Holistic Times.
As we launch our newest programs we expect to be busier than ever, working together to make CCNH’s 25th anniversary year its best ever!
