Who and What's New in Academics
Our 25th anniversary year has been one of change. One of the biggest changes was moving online testing from Assess2Learn to WebCT©. Students and faculty have been very happy with the change, especially with WebCT©’s “user-friendly” environment. If you haven't considered testing online, we invite you to visit our Web site to take a sample test. WebCT© also offers chat rooms and a bulletin board area. These features bring a “classroom feel“ to the distance learning environment.
Another big change for us this fall was changing textbook partners. ED MAP became our official textbook provider on October 10. If you were previously approved for ordering from Specialty Books and have not yet ordered, you'll need to contact the school and get information for ordering from ED MAP. Your faculty advisor or the textbook liaison and assistant editor, Pam Herald, will be glad to help you.
Early in October Christine Picior moved from her role as faculty advisor to the admissions department. Christine is a great asset to the admissions department. She is a graduate of CCNH and has applied her knowledge in a natural health practice. For those of you who are assigned to Christine, please rest assured that other faculty advisors will handle calls, e–mails, and tests. When you are assigned a new advisor you will receive notification with returned graded coursework or in a reply e–mail. We encourage you to not let this change slow you down or concern you. We are committed to helping you be successful in your program.
As 2005 begins to wind down and you review your year, whether you are studying, practicing as a consultant, or simply living a healthier lifestyle, we invite you to joyfully celebrate yourself. You are making the world a healthier place, one step at a time.
