MAUREEN KAHL, B.S., in Holistic Nutrition graduate. Kahl recently had a novel published. She notes that she was astonished because she generally does not read novels, but she felt that her words were truly a journey of faith. The publisher is Tate Publishing, a Christian publisher, and the book’s title is The Bracelet. Currently, the book can be purchased at the Tate Publishing Web site, Amazon.com, and at Barnes and Noble.
LINDA KOSA–POSTL, B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Natural Health, and Doctor of Naturopathy graduate.Kosa–Postl, associate professor of teaching, learning, and leadership in the Biosciences Department at Cascadia Community College/UW Bothell, was invited to present a paper at the University of Oxford’s Round Table Session on Nutrition and Health public policy. Kosa–Postl presented her paper titled Stay Smart: Lose Weight, Childhood Obesity and Health Education. She was one of a few selected from around the world invited to take part in the event, based on her research and leadership qualities in the field. The Oxford Round Table is a unique forum, not a conference in the conventional sense, but rather an opportunity for select leaders in the public and private sectors and scholars to discuss government policy during a five–day period in a collegial atmosphere in the ancient city of Oxford.
RITAMARIE MOSCOLA, 2004 Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine graduate. Moscola’s poster presentation, Painting the Portrait, Finding the Self, was accepted for exhibition at The Society for the Arts in Healthcare 2006 annual conference, April 21–26. The 15th annual conference’s theme was Vision + Voice: Charting the Course of Arts, Health and Medicine and was held in Chicago, Illinois.
MICHAEL WALD, D.C., N.D., Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition graduate. Wald, a certified nutritional specialist and practicing chiropractor, has published a new book on the topic of nutritional blood lab interpretation. He has also developed a CD for health professionals, which provides nutritional and medical interpretations of blood work, diets, supplement advice, drugnutrient interactions, suggests health conditions, etc. The software also assists with improving client compliance and organization. RENITA HERRMANN, M.S. in Natural Health graduate. Renita recently completed her four year certification in homeopathy from the Institute of Classical Homeopathy, and is operating a thriving practice in San Francisco that specializes in panic attacks and children’s issues.
Renita’s last name was misspelled. The correct spelling is with two r’s and two n’s.
ClassNotes has expanded this year to include student and graduate state group and Web site activity. We want to hear from all of you.
