Departmental Notes & News
Academics Updates
- For those of you with e–mail addresses, you should
have received the first of our new quarterly “encouragement” e–mails,
designed to give you a lift, a thought for the day, or some insight
into studying in the distance learning, self–paced format of
Clayton College. We’d like to know what you think about these
e–mails, so let us hear from you.
- Students will now receive an academic experience survey,
either by e–mail or postal mail, when authorized for phase two
of a program. We will use this information to assess the quality of
service you are receiving as you study with us. Our goal is make your
time at CCNH an exceptional experience. Your comments and responses
are very important to us and we encourage you to participate.
- In mid–October CCNH released a new version of
the Student Handbook and Online Testing Manual. It has been reorganized,
and tabs have been added to help you quickly find answers to your questions.
We also added an optional handbook quiz, designed like the self–help
quizzes in the coursework, that highlights some of the most frequently
asked questions. The objective of these changes is to give you all
the information you need, in an easier to read format, to complete
your CCNH program. All newly enrolled students receive a handbook in
the mail. If you enrolled with us some time ago and would like a copy
of the new handbook, click here
and download the latest version.
Admissions Updates
- In addition to our degree and certificate programs,
remember that we offer graduate studies programs specifically designed
for our graduates that allow you to expand your knowledge in one of
two areas: herbology and nutrition. Each program consists of six courses
and the 2006 cost is $1300 (less any graduate discount).
- Current students and graduates can add individual courses
or entire programs at a 10% discount. Members of the Alumni Association
receive a 15% discount. We have recently added a 5% discount for all
military, both active and retired. We are beginning to look at our
2007 tuition rates, so if you are considering adding on a new program,
call us now so you can enter at the 2006 rates.
- We count on you to spread the word about the quality
education at Clayton to all your friends, family and colleagues. The
best prospective students come from our current students and graduates.
We always appreciate your referrals and welcome your feedback.
