Academic Updates
Thank you to everyone who responded to the new academic experience survey. Launched in October, we have had a 38% survey return rate, which is statistically excellent. Your feedback is helpful. We appreciate you taking the time to assist in evaluating our effectiveness, and we look forward to 2007’s responses. Thank you students!
Aimee Lanier, N.D., has completed her master herbalist certificate. Aimee is the faculty member assigned to all herbal studies students. Congratulations Aimee!
Holly Cowan, assistant director of academics, recently collaborated with her daughter’s daycare regarding their nutrition program. Holly was able to share some practical tips on providing good nutrition for the children, which is a win for all involved. The faculty encourages those of you who have children in daycare or school to think about some easy, practical actions that would enhance the school nutrition experience for your family. It’s one way you can build a natural health community around you.
For those of you who have e-mail addresses and haven’t sent an assignment to us in six months or more, you’ve probably received a “we’ve missed hearing from you” e-mail. We will be nudging those students who have not submitted assignments with the hope that you can get back on track with your studies. While being able to study at your own pace is a unique feature at CCNH, we know through experience that the student who sends assignments in regularly is the successful student.
Admissions Updates
Last year was an amazing year for Clayton from an admissions standpoint. We enrolled 3084 new students and had the opportunity to work with so many folks from so many places and so many walks of life. We feel fortunate to be able to be a part of the process in helping you to help others. We hear the stories of how you affect others with what you learn here at Clayton — how you change lives through healthy living. You are indeed part of the natural health revolution!
We remind you, as we always do, that current students and graduates can add individual courses or entire programs at a 10 percent discount. Members of the Alumni Association are offered a 15 percent discount. Last fall, we added a 5 percent discount for all military, both active and retired.
We also remind you that we count on you to spread the word about the quality education at Clayton to all of your friends, family, and colleagues. The best prospective students come from our current students and graduates. We always appreciate your referrals and welcome your feedback.
