Membership Spotlight IIPA: International Iridology Practitioners Association
The International Iridology Practitioners Association (IIPA) is an international organization that certifies practitioners and instructors of iridology and accredits programs at schools that teach iridology, including CCNH’s iridology studies program. Graduates of the CCNH program may apply for certification through IIPA.
CCNH supports and works closely with IIPA. Iridology studies students at Clayton College receive a year’s complimentary membership in IIPA. Each year at IIPA’s annual symposium, CCNH exhibits and has faculty representatives. Anita Barnett, a CCNH director and an IIPA-certified iridologist, serves on the board of IIPA. Anne Barnhill, CCNH faculty advisor to iridology students, is becoming certified through IIPA, and Jim Farmer, CCNH admissions advisor, is an IIPA certified iridologist and instructor.
Board members from IIPA assisted with the development of the educational program that CCNH offers to ensure that the standards of the program remain at the high level that IIPA requires. Ellen Tart-Jensen, CCNH adjunct faculty member, is currently the immediate past-president of IIPA and is a member of the IIPA education committee. For those who attend the CCNH annual conference, Ellen is a regular presenter. Most recently, Ellen has written a book, Through the Eyes of the Masters: Iridology’s History and Current Use, that the Natural Reader Press is publishing this year.
