Academic Updates

  • In keeping with the 2007 conference theme, “Building a Natural Health Community,” faculty member Bree Garrett has organized a nutrition education group for teenagers in her church. Bree is teaching them how to eat and shop healthier.

  • Faculty member Crystal McVey invited her son Conner, a volunteer at a local urban garden, to join her chat on June 26th. Conner, committed to urban gardening, shared his passion for it with the chat attendees.

  • Join us in welcoming new adjunct faculty Jonny Bowden and Karen Spencer Dees. Both Bowden and Dees are CCNH graduates who have contributed to our curriculum by writing courses. Dees also serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. These new faculty members bring even more great talent to Clayton College.

  • The academics department and the information technology group have been working together to put additional technology features into your WebCT© courses. Watch for broadcast e-mails and notices of changes to come. As always, if you do not have an e-mail address on file with us or have recently changed your existing one, please contact the school to update your information.

  • Finally, if you have not accessed Natural Standard©, our online library resource, we encourage you to do so. It consists of multiple databases that provide you with the latest in alternative health information.

Admissions Updates

  • We are thrilled to have D’Lesa Carroll back with us. Carroll took a short leave last year to take care of her family.

  • We also look forward to a new baby as Dana Duell will deliver her first baby in September of this year.

  • As a reminder, current students and graduates can add individual courses or entire programs at a 10 percent discount. Members of the Alumni Association are offered a 15 percent discount. Last fall, we added a 5 percent discount for all military, both active and retired.

  • We also remind you that we count on you to spread the word about the quality education at Clayton to all of your friends, family, and colleagues. The best prospective students come from our current students and graduates. We always appreciate your referrals and welcome your feedback.
Internet Technology Use Survey

We would like to hear from you! Please take a moment to complete our Internet Technology Use Survey. Your input helps us make decisions about where we will go next on the distance education frontier and how we can use available technology to improve your overall experience with CCNH.
