Welcome to Holistic Times in its fresh, new format. Yes, the newsletter has gone strictly digital. In fact, the newsletter is just part of the college’s overall transition to a paperless world. You responded by the thousands in 2008 when we gave you the choice to opt out of the paper version of the newsletter, and some of you even thanked us for making the choice available. (Read more about CCNH’s commitment to going green on page 2 of this issue.)

Our readers have had the option to view the newsletter online for a while now, and we hope that you will enjoy the more interactive downloadable PDF version as well. The fully bookmarked PDF file has a linked table of contents, and Web site links and page numbers are clickable to help you navigate the file and visit the sites mentioned in the text. (If you have problems viewing the PDF file please visit the Adobe Web site to get the latest version of the Acrobat Reader.)

In this issue you’ll find an overview of the 2007 NIHs survey of The Use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in the United States, an interview with Teresa Nichols, the college’s new chief academic officer, and a bit of inspiration in the minibios of the 2008 scholarship and Cheraskin grant recipients. Smile — Spring is just around the corner!
