College of Natural Health
Names Dr. Elson Haas as First
Professor of Holistic Nutrition Practice
8.30.2007,
Alabama—Dr. Elson Haas, author, lecturer, and founder
and director of the Preventive Medical Center of Marin, an integrated
health care facility in San Rafael, California, has recently
joined Clayton
College of Natural Health (CCNH) as Professor
of Holistic Nutrition Practice. Building on the college’s
long-standing educational partnership with Dr. Haas, this step
strengthens the college’s new bachelor and master of holistic
nutrition programs.
In
his role as Professor of Holistic Nutrition Practice, Haas will
work with CCNH faculty and continue to contribute to the creation
of curricula, as well as interact with students through a series
of conference calls and online chats.
Regarding
his new role at CCNH, Haas says, “My dream of educating
others in the areas of nutrition, health, and natural therapies
is coming true through my educational partnership with Clayton
College. The new program for holistic nutrition practitioners
uses my Staying Healthy with Nutrition textbook as a foundation
toward building a larger community of educators prepared with
knowledge, insight and skills to turn my dream into a global
reality.”
In
addition to serving on CCNH’s advisory board for the past
three years, Haas has been a keynote speaker, panel participant,
or intensive and breakout session presenter at the college’s
annual conferences for the past four years. He also joins the
CCNH educational travel team at trade shows, representing CCNH
and participating in book-signings and educational programs for
prospective students who attend the shows. He has also contributed
content to CCNH’s
popular Web features including the monthly health quiz and holistic
home features.
Haas’ joining us as our first Professor of
Holistic Nutrition Practice is the next natural step in CCNH’s
educational partnership with him. The college and its staff are
excited about the new relationship and are looking forward to
learning from and growing with Haas.
