Weaving a Tapestry of Natural Health Clayton College of Natural Health’s 5th Annual Natural Health Conference

01.12.06, Alabama—CCNH is proud to announce its 5th annual Natural Health Conference, Weaving a Tapestry of Natural Health, at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center, April 20-23, 2006, in Peachtree City, Georgia. The highly acclaimed annual conference offers opportunities for networking with students and graduates, meeting CCNH faculty and staff and one-on-one interaction with natural health and nutrition leaders such as Michael Tierra, Ann Louise Gittleman and Rudolph Ballentine.

Conference participants can customize their experience with more than 35 breakout sessions to choose from. Breakout session topics include Metabolic Syndrome: Culprit of Many Chronic Illnesses, How Our Environment Affects Our Health, and Classification of Chinese Herbs. All attendees are invited to three general sessions: The Meaning of Our Health and the Health of Our Meaning with Stewart Mitchell, The Emerging Feminine with Christine Page and a closing session, Duykta: The Cherokee Path of Becoming Human with David Winston. The general sessions bring all conference attendees together to gain knowledge and create lasting networks of friends and professional peers.

In addition to the breakout and general sessions, the conference also features intensives. These sessions offer three hours of concentrated learning in a specific facet of natural health. Among the 11 intensive subjects are The Art and Science of Weight Loss Coaching and For Women Only: Living Longer, Living Better.

Back by popular demand are the plant walks in the outdoor classroom. Due to the demand, more and varied plant walks have been added to the schedule. Get outside for a while and learn from herbalists like Matthew Wood, Darryl Patton and Phyllis Light.

2005 conference attendee Molly B. Gorsuch said the following about her experience: “I leave the conference today feeling enlightened and excited to learn more! The quality and value of information fulfilled any and all expectations. I am proud to be a student at CCNH and involved with this caliber of education and people.”

“Early bird” registration offers $50 off the $550 fee, which covers three general sessions, all breakout sessions, breakfasts and snacks and Friday night dinner.

Over 300 students, graduates, staff, faculty and speakers participated in the 2005 conference, and the college anticipates greater attendance at the 2006 conference.
